Part & Surface Cleaning

Single nozzles Application examples

  • Plasma cleaning and activation of plastics, metals, and glass
  • Films and three-dimensional components
  • PP headlight housing: precise pretreatment of the flute bonding groove
  • Bottle labeling: inline; aqueous waterbased adhesive systems can be used.
  • EPDM profile: 10-fold nozzle arrangement for lamination on all sides
  • Aluminum profiles: arrangement in the nozzle tool as a substitute for pickling and chromating
  • Cartons: pretreatment of the longitudinal seam, transport speed up to 600 m/min

Rotary nozzle Applications Examples

  • EPDM and TPE profiles: inline profile treatment prior to bonding, flocking, and applying anti-friction coatings
  • Clear coat treatment of non polar varnish in the automotive industry
  • PCBs: potential-free pre treatment prior to printing and overmolding
  • Home appliances, high-gloss polypropylene (PP): gentle pre treatment prior to pad printing
  • Custom applications requiring different outlet angles, such as large holes, grooves, etc.

Plasma Nozzles

The plasma nozzles directed onto the material are used to generate and spread the plasma (cold plasma is generated).

The plasma is generated inside the nozzle by a high voltage between a stator and a rotor and is blown out through the nozzle head using working gas.

With its patented nozzle systems, Plasmatreat has developed extremely robust, highly effective tools for industrial surface treatment. Both single nozzles and rotating plasma systems are available as plasma sources.

Single Nozzle

(PFW10 - Straight Outlet or Wide Opening)

These have relatively small outlet angle and are therefore better suited for the treatment of narrow profiles.

Rotary Nozzle (RD1004)

For rotating plasma systems, which distribute the pre-treatment effect evenly onto over the larger work width as a result of the rotation principle, the RD1004 plasma rotary nozzle is ideal.  This plasma nozzle is especially suited for thermally sensitive and geometrically complex surfaces and materials.

Plasma Slot Nozzle:

Depending on the speed and distance to the material to be treated, different activation of the surface is achieved. All treatment parameters can be accurately evaluated and reproduced.
